OUR MISSIONGiving Oklahomans a brighter tomorrow.

The mission of the Cresap Family Foundation is to further the philanthropic legacy of the Cresap Family by improving the quality of life of Oklahomans and beyond. The Foundation’s areas of emphasis are youth and families, health and wellness, education, arts and humanities and animal welfare.

Funding preference will be given to organizations in areas where Premium Beers operated, including, and without limitation, central Oklahoma, and the following counties in Northeast Oklahoma: Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Osage, Ottawa, and Washington. This is a strong preference but is not mandatory.

About UsFamily owned and operated.

Denny, Gail, and John Cresap established the Foundation following the sale of the family’s business, Premium Beers of Oklahoma, one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributorships in the country. A desire to give back to the communities that had supported Premium Beers of Oklahoma for 44 years resulted in the Foundation’s creation.

Including its 2020 grantmaking activities, the Cresap Family Foundation has given more than $8.5 million to Oklahoma nonprofits since its founding in 2012.

The DetailsSee exactly how we accomplish our goals.

  • Letter of Inquiry

Each year’s grant cycle begins with the Letter of Inquiry (LOI) process. Nonprofit organizations seeking funding are asked to submit a brief LOI using our online application system. This is the first step of our annual grantmaking process.

  • Grant Application

Having successfully passed through the LOI stage, grantseekers are now asked to submit a complete application, including financial information, board governance documentation, and a thorough description of the program being presented for consideration. The board reviews these detailed applications at their fall meeting. Once decisions are finalized, we make a point to get in touch with every applicant to share feedback about granting decisions.

  • Follow Up

Nonprofit organizations that receive grants are asked to submit a follow-up report via our online system and should expect a site visit during the grant year. This site visit is the best way to show the Foundation’s Directors the excellent work underway and accomplishments realized.
